Application | All forms the department requires when applying or renewing a license or issuing a self-declaration. |
Child Protection Services (CPS) | CPS completes assessments regarding suspected child abuse and neglect reports. |
Child care concern | Any concern reported by anyone, including an anonymous reporter, which involves a suspected rule violation of early childhood services or unlicensed care. |
Corrective actions | Corrective actions consist of correction orders, provisional licenses, fiscal sanctions, denial notices, revocation notices, suspensions, restrictions with an MOU and injunctions. |
Department | The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services. |
Department approved training | Training approved within the core competency areas and listed on the Growing Futures professional development registry. |
Licensing System | The platform used by applicants and providers to apply and renew licenses. The Licensing staff completes all licensing processes within the Licensing System. |
North Dakota Administrative code | (N.D.A.C.) Rules regarding operation of an early childhood services program. |
North Dakota Century Code | (N.D.C.C.) Laws passed by the Legislature. |
Provider orientation | An introduction for prospective providers into Early Childhood Licensing. |
Unannounced Visit | Nonscheduled review of a licensed or license-exempt early childhood services program. |
